Hats off to The Jolly Farmer
The Jolly Farmer in Chalfont St Peter reopened on Friday 17th May after an extensive six week refurbishment which saw the pub transformed inside and out. Overseen by our interior designer Olivia Softley and project manager Daniel Bernardino, the work saw the dining room extended to create 36 further covers in a beautiful semi private space with rooflight, the bar space transformed with new banquet seating and the exterior refurbished to create a large outdoor terrace that makes the most of the views of Chalfont and beyond.
Opening day saw a vintage tractor make its way through the area with the team handing out goodie bags of fruit and veg, the pub officially opened by four local farmers, live music, tastings and more with more than 100 guests welcoming to the ceremony. The fun continued with a guided dog walk on Sunday morning led by our very own Rory and finishing with an appearance from renowned travel writer Lottie Gross who gave a talk surrounding her adventures with her dog, attended by over 30 dogs and their humans. On Monday the team were visited by the micro pigs from Kew Little Pigs where guests petted, played with and groomed our extra special micro guests which was the perfect pig-ture opportunity!
Congratulations to general manager Jon and the team at The Jolly Farmer for putting this pub at the heart of the Chalfont community where it belongs!
